About

A familiar shop, with a fresh coat of paint.

Marbello’s opened in Brooklyn in 1943 with two chairs, a mirror wall and a handwritten price list. The room looks different now, but the feeling is meant to be familiar: a calm chair, a proper cut, and someone who pays attention.

Our story

We kept the part that made people come back.

Carlo Marbello opened the first shop when most clients in the neighborhood wanted the same simple thing: look tidy, be treated normally, and not spend the whole afternoon waiting. The next generation added proper beard work. The room was modernised later, but the pace stayed human.

What stayed is the part that matters. We still talk before we cut. We still remember regulars. And we still think a barber should be honest when a photo will not work with your hair.
